"A Dream of Beauty" recreated at state historic site
Step back in time to experience Christmas 1917 at the Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site, 1205 Pleasant Point, Rome City.
“A Dream of Beauty” Holiday Walk is Dec. 6 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the famous author’s “Cabin at Wildflower Woods.” The cabin is decorated as it appeared in 1917, according to Gene’s description. Admission is $3 per person.
Guests can also enjoy, live entertainment, holiday goodies, a cookie contest, crafts, and horse-drawn wagon rides around the property.
Santa will arrive at 2 p.m. in a special way, and will visit with children and families until 6 p.m.
